            The Board of County Commissioners met in special session for a strategic work day with all members present.  The meeting was held at 9:00 a.m. in the Corporate East Hotel conference room.

Marty Long and Linda McHenry, County Commissioners and Randy McCauley, Road Department Administrator, met in special session.  The meeting was called to meet with the Kansas Department of Transportation, Bureau of Local Projects to discuss implementation of an Exchange Federal Funds Program.  The program will allow the Road & Bridge more flexibility to use their dollars where they will do the most good and it will eliminate the need for costly requirements of developing a federal-aid project.

 

The commissioners adjourned to meet again in regular session on March 1, 2011.
