Purchasing Purposes
The purpose of the cemeteries is to provide a space to bury the remains of a human being. Purchasing a space reserves the right for a person to be buried in that space, but ownership of the land remains with the cemetery district. A space may be used for two levels of burials, however the intent to do so must be known with the first burial in the space. Burial of animal remains is prohibited. The erection of a memorial or a mausoleum or any structure must have prior board approval.
- All grounds maintenance is performed at no expense to individuals. No planting or structures by individuals are permitted in any of the cemeteries.
- Body limbs will be buried in the same lot where the person will be buried when deceased.
- Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 24, and 25 of Section 5 at the Ulysses Cemetery may be sold in half space tracts at a cost of $50 per half space for the purpose of burial of urns or cremated remains.
- The north portion of Section 3 in the Ulysses Cemetery is set aside for memorial stones. Plots are five feet by five feet in size. One plot per organization is allowed. A single stone is allowed per plot and the stone is to be facing north.
